Full-service senior move management across metro Atlanta. NASMM A+ accredited.
ChangingSpaces was founded in 2011 to provide professional move management for older adults and their families.
A senior move is rarely a single event. It usually follows a health change, an opening in a continuing care community, or a long-considered decision to leave the family home.
Every engagement is planned around your circumstances and timeline. We do not work from a template; each move is managed for the specific person making it.

A move from a four-bedroom house to a two-bedroom apartment at a continuing care community is a specific kind of move – one that requires empathy and compassion. That’s what ChangingSpaces brings.
Compressed timelines are common. A move prompted by a hospital stay, a memory diagnosis, or a community waitlist opening sooner than expected — those are the calls we are built to take.
A senior move might include:
Anyone can call themselves a senior move manager. Four things separate a NASMM company from the rest, and they are worth checking before you hire.
NASMM A+ Accreditation, awarded to ChangingSpaces in 2019, is the highest distinction in the industry.
ChangingSpaces is also a member of NAPO, the National Association of Productivity and Organizing Professionals.
Most of our senior moves happen in metro Atlanta – Buckhead, Sandy Springs, Dunwoody, Brookhaven, Roswell, Alpharetta, Marietta, Johns Creek, and the surrounding suburbs. We have packed clients into and out of Peachtree Hills Place and other Atlanta-area continuing care communities.
Beyond metro Atlanta, we have managed moves to and from Blue Ridge, Serenbe, and Columbus, Georgia. When a parent is moving out of state, we handle the Atlanta end and hand the destination work to a NASMM-accredited Professional Move Manager in the receiving city. The PMM network covers the country, so your parent’s belongings are unpacked by a vetted senior move specialist no matter where they land.
For a health-event move on a compressed timeline, we can usually be at the home within a few days. The schedule depends on the size of the project, and we will tell you honestly on the first call.
Yes. A meaningful share of our senior moves are coordinated with adult children who live elsewhere. We can be the local point of contact, send photos throughout, and handle decisions you cannot be there for.
We have managed many moves where the senior was reluctant. The first visit is a conversation, not a packing session. We move at the pace the family needs.
We do not list homes ourselves. We do everything around the listing: staging, decluttering, helping you interview and select a realtor, arranging needed repairs, final clean-out, and preparation for the buyer’s walk-through. We also work with realtors across Atlanta who refer their senior clients to us.
Yes. We have packed dozens of moves into Atlanta-area CCRCs, including Peachtree Hills Place. We work with the community’s move-in coordinator to meet their schedule.
We coordinate utility transfers and disconnections, mail forwarding, and change of address with the post office, banks, credit cards, insurance, the IRS, medical providers, and pharmacies. We arrange donation pick-ups, shredding, and hauling, and we can scan photos and documents to reduce paper before the move.
Every move is quoted after we see the home and the destination. Rates are hourly. We do not charge for the first consultation.
The first conversation is free. Holly or Linda will be on the call. We will walk through the situation, the timeline, and the next sensible step — whether or not we end up being the right fit.
